The license to install & run software on a particular server
Client Access License (CAL)
The license for each client computer accessing a
Microsoft server product

SoftChoice: Now, there are a few
different types of licenses. For
instance, servers are licensed a little differently. (talk server license and CAL).
Microsoft
interjects: Hey, hold on a
minute. I think some of the people
here might have a question about this.
Is that CAL another piece of software I have to load?

SoftChoice: Noexplain. Then use gym membership analogy to talk
CAL/server diagram

Microsoft: At end of gym analogy say, OK let me see if I have this
right. If Im a business owner and I
want my staff to have email and I want to get Exchange; I would purchase an
Exchange license for my server. Then,
for each of my employees who want to access their email from that server,
their client machines need a CAL.
Does that make sense to everyone?
